| In spring 2001, during a complete tidal cycle, nitrogen fluxes between the sea and the salt marsh were calculated. The marsh (1198 m2) covered in 75 % by halophytes, with 46 % by the sea purslane, Halimione portulacoides. The nitrogen balance shows that the salt marsh imports nitrogen micro-particules (2,09 g) by sedimentation, exports dissolved nitrogen (4,13 g), and that the macro-element part (-1,02 g in fauna and vegetable refuse) in the global mass balance (3,06 g) is not unimportant. Nitrogen fluxes are mainly under inorganic form for the incoming flux (mainly NO3), and under organic form for the outgoing flux. | La contamination des denrées d’origine marine par des toxines algales (phycotoxines) a pris depuis quelques années une importance considérable. Ce phénomène est largement lié à l’augmentation du nombre de zones géographiques touchées ainsi qu’à la diversification des espèces toxinogènes et à l’identification de nouveaux composés toxiques. Les données épidémiologiques sont cependant encore peu nombreuses car elles sont liées à la mise en place de contrôles systématiques récents. | Fish culture (seabass, turbot...) on the French metropolitan coast, and shrimp culture in the overseas territories (essentially New Caledonia and Tahiti) are subject to a regular development through land based farms. Three thematic of research on aquaculture ponds are carried out in CREMA-L’Houmeau, in collaboration with producers. | This study aimed to analyse the quality of the sea water flowing into the marine farm of Douhet, a gilthead bream hatchery, from the marsh-seawater reservoir to the entrance of the hatchery. The basin-seawater reservoir is not stratified in the pumping area. As a consequence, the measurements carried out at the surface to the right of the pumping dock give a good evaluation of the quality of the seawater pumped in depth. The high sensitivity of gilthead bream larvae to the water PH during the first two weeks of their larval life, and the values measured in the circuit seem to be an explanatory parameter to the observed mortalities. | A study was conducted in seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and oyster (Crassostrea gigas) ponds to assess the levels of heterogeneity of sediments and settling particles. | Un protocole d 'échantillonnage et de mesure de la qualité des eaux marines pénétrant dans les marais salés endigués et claires ostréicoles du littoral de la Charente-Maritime a été mis en place en 2001 dans le cadre du projet IFREMER /Poitou-Charentes sur la «gestion durable des activités anthropiques en marais et zone littorale». | The main objectives of this investigation were to test the effects of (i) the presence of periphyton substrates, (ii) rearing density and (iii) supplemental feeding with dry feed on the growth and production of golden mullet (Liza aurata) juveniles. Twenty-six 1 m(2)-cages were installed in a French marine pond from April till June 2008. Mullets were stocked in cages with or without substrate at a density of 0, 20,40 or 60 individuals per cage.
